FROM SÃO PAULO

With 71% disapproval rating, Workers' Party President Dilma Rousseff surpassed the worst rating recorded by Fernando Collor (1990-92), former President impeached in 1992, shows a poll by Datafolha polling institute conducted between Tuesday (4) and Wednesday (5).

In the previous survey conducted in the third week of June, 65% of respondents said Rousseff's administration was bad or very bad.

The percentage of respondents who believe her administration is great or good decreased, within the margin of error of two percentage points. In June, it was 10%. Now, it's 8% of the total.

The scenario worsened for President Rousseff also regarding a possible impeachment complaint.

When asked whether the Congress should launch an impeachment inquiry, 66% of respondents said yes. In the previous survey done in April, 63% said yes.

The figures recorded by Datafolha in this week's poll are the worst since the Institute started working at national level in 1990, during Fernando Collor's administration.

The current Senator (PTB-AL) held so far the lowest approval rating in Datafolha polls, with 9% approval and 68% disapproval on the eve of his impeachment in 1992.

Datafolha interviewed 3,358 people aged 16 years and over, in 201 municipalities of five regions of the country. The margin of error for the poll is two percentage points.

It has a confidence interval of 95%, what means that 95 times out of 100 the figure in one poll will be within two percentage points of what it would be if the entire population was surveyed.
