Brazilian congressman, Jair Bolsonaro (PSC-RJ) is preparing a series of debates, public appearances and talks in the U.S. in October, to "sell" his presidential candidacy to investors, analysts and expat voters.

The trip, from October 8 to October 14, according to plans, resulted from a round table discussion to which Bolsonaro was invited, at the research center of Brazilian philosopher Olavo de Carvalho, in New York.

"They want to meet the Brazilian presidential candidate who has good chances of winning the elections next year," said his son, Flavio Bolsonaro (PSC-RJ), State representative of Rio de Janeiro. "They want to know where they are putting their money."

The family is also trying to schedule meetings with members of the Republican party.

Bolsonaro's one-week ticket will also take him to Miami and Boston.

Brazilian event producer Karol Eller is organizing a lecture in Deerfield, Florida, open to the public.

According to Flavio Bolsonaro, the congressman will have a meeting with the mayor of Boston, Marty Walsh, from the Democratic Party, as well as talks with the local Brazilian community.

"We want to convey the message that, in the event he is elected, he will do everything he can to improve matters such as violence and unemployment, which are very important [for the community], so that they may consider coming back to Brazil and stay close to their families," stated Flavio Bolsonaro.
