NATUZA NERY
FROM BRASÍLIA

After Petrobras's downgrade by Moody's, other international risk assessment agencies will disembark in Brazil starting this week to assess the situation of the state-run company and of the measures adopted by the government to balance the public accounts.

According to what Folha learned, the international evaluators will take a tour of the economic and political dependencies of the Executive, especially the Central Bank and the Ministry of Finance.

The agencies' arrival in the country after the Finance Minister, Joaquim Levy, announced on Friday (27) a hard reinforcement in cutting action expenses and Union revenue recovery by reducing the tax benefit on the payroll and the reduction in the rate of the Reintegra program, which returns tax credits to exporters.

Government officials told Folha that the data of the dissemination of new initiatives has been selected to occur just before the arrival of representatives of Fitch and Standard & Poor's to Brazil.

On Friday (27), Levy indicated that the fiscal effort is for real and will spare no effort to restore the government's credibility.
