SPECIAL ENVOY TO AMPARO (SP)
There is a century-old farm amid the mountains in the town of Amparo, near Campinas, in the state of São Paulo, where the almighty Formula 1 figure, Bernie Ecclestone, 84, prepares his new flight in business.
Ecclestone and his wife, Brazilian citizen Fabiana Flosi, 37, plan to expand the sale of Celebrity Coffee, a gourmet coffee bean grown on the property.
Today, the product can only be purchased in the paddocks of Grand Prix around the world or in a handful of hotels, but one may also find the product at Luiz Oscar Vitale Jacob 's office, the mayor of Amparo, where Ecclestone was last week.
The 490-acre property (larger than the principality of Monaco, where many F1 pilots roam around) was acquired in 2012 by Ecclestone. Since then, he has invested in the cultivation and processing of coffee beans. There are about 120 thousand trees, 100% Arabica.
Ranked by Forbes at 435th among the billionaires in the world, Ecclestone and his family have an estimated fortune worth US$ 3.9 billion (about R$ 12 billion).
