Finnish company Rovio developed the "Angry Birds" game. In it, players "shoot" birds while attempting to destroy objects and eliminate enemies.

The game is widely popular on a variety of mobile platforms. Other special editions have been released with themes like "Star Wars" and the animated film "Rio".

Besides tablets and mobile phones, the game will also run through an application within Facebook. The organizers of Rock in Rio, in partnership with Rovio, have set up a tournament to promote the game along with hyping the festival in the coming weeks.

Rock in Rio will take place on September 13, 14, 15, 19, 20, 21 and 22 in Rio de Janeiro. Five locations within Rock City will offer live entertainment. Among the most anticipated international artists set to appear are Beyoncé, Muse, Florence and The Machine, Justin Timberlake, Alicia Keys, Metalica, Alice in Chains, Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen and Iron Maiden.

Tickets for are already sold out for each day of the show.
