Brazil Soccer Coach Tite Praised Just Like Predecessors

FROM SÃO PAULO
With six wins in six games since he became head coach of the Brazilian national soccer team, Tite has been praised by fans and part of the media.
The coach's "honeymoon", however, is by no means a new phenomenon, as can be witnessed by the team's recent past.
Former coaches Felipão, Dunga and Parreira had all been on winning streaks and performed well in the games leading up to the 2006, 2010 and 2014 World Cups, while also counting on massive support at the start of each competition before getting knocked out.
With this in mind, Tite was very on point during his interview after the 2-0 win against Peru.
"You [journalists] are responsible for overestimating the importance of coaches. You overdo it, but after you criticize how overestimated coaches were", he said.
