Folha Podcast "President Of The Week" Hits 2.4 Million Downloads

Audio series narrated Brazil's political history in 29 episodes, each featuring one president at a time

Folha podcast series "President of the Week" is close to reaching the milestone of 2.5 million downloads. Until Tuesday (4th), the audio series' 29 episodes have been accessed over 2.41 million times.

The podcast debuted last April, and in weekly episodes, it describes in chronological order the profiles of all Brazil's presidents.

The last episode featured president-elect Jair Bolsonaro. During these six months, "President of The Week" talked about periods in Brazilian political history like the First Republic, the Vargas Period, the Kubitschek Years, the military dictatorship and the reinstatement of democracy in the late 1980s.

The podcast interviewed historians and journalists like José Murilo de Carvalho, Laurentino Gomes,  Lilia M. Schwarcz, Boris Fausto, Heloísa Starling, Daniel Aarão Reis, and Clóvis Rossi, among others.

Produced, written and presented by Rodrigo Vizeu, with sound direction and edition from Victor Parolin. Ramon Mineiro also edited some episodes. 

The series is available at Folha's website and in platforms like Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Pocket Casts, Castbox, and Deezer.
