Former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) said this Thursday (30) that the current legislature in the National Congress is better than the previous one and that this is why they will not allow the Lula government to do "whatever it wants with the fate of our nation".

Bolsonaro also said that Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) is "in power for a short time". "I remember back when someone criticized the Parliament, Ulysses Guimarães would say: 'wait for the next one'. This time, the next one has improved a lot. Parliament is making us proud of the measures, their behavior, the way they act inside, doing what has to be done, and showing these people who are in power, for now, a short time, that they are not going to do whatever they want with the destiny of our nation," he said.

Later, in an interview with Rádio Jovem Pan, the former representative created the first direct controversy with the new government, criticizing Lula's team for having withdrawn his right to armored vehicles. Bolsonaro stated that he saw this initiative as "a message". "Until Monday I was entitled to two armored cars. With the announcement of my arrival here, the Executive Office removed the armored car. I have two normal cars out there. Now, you can say [if] there is any support in the law or there isn't. It hasn't been defined," said the former president.
