In the number of deaths, Brazil is the sixth most affected country. The top five countries with the most deaths are the USA (100,000), the United Kingdom (37,000), Italy (33,000), France (28,000), and Spain (27,000).

One of the main models used by the White House to monitor coronavirus numbers projects more than 125 thousand deaths in Brazil until August.

In the middle of May, when the IHME, a metrics institute at the University of Washington, released data about Brazil for the first time, the forecast was that 88,305 people would die by Covid-19 by August 4 in the country.

This Monday (25), however, after the dizzying growth of cases and deaths in Brazilian territory in recent weeks, and the country has become the epicenter of the pandemic, according to WHO (World Health Organization), the American institute also updated the numbers for the worse.
