Preparing professionals
The training program is a daily intensive journalism course lasting twelve weeks. It is one of the best ways to learn how to make a newspaper, to learn the everyday life of Folha's professionals and to become skilled at working in the Newsroom. Folha usually holds three training groups a year.
The screening of participants of the program has three stages: filling up an application form, a test on general knowledge, lectures and interviews. Every year, several trainees end up hired at the newsroom.
In addition, there is constant concern about the skills of those professionals already working at Folha. The Training Section selects courses and curricular extensions that may be useful to Folha's journalists.
