Despite the confirmation, President Jair Bolsonaro's third son declined to proclaim himself as the new party leader in the House.

Eduardo also denied having an agreement between the president of the PSL, Luciano Bivar (PE) and the minister of the Secretary of Government, Luiz Eduardo Ramos, so that his name would not appear on the list as the party leader in the House.

The deputy said he still had no grudge against Bivar's group. “Here we are politicians. The politician doesn't do what he wants, the politician is the art of the possible. ” Eduardo also stated that he wants PSL to be the ruling party again.

Deputy Waldir's resignation from office was announced in a video recorded on Monday morning and released by his press office.
