Bolsonaro scheduled a meeting for this Tuesday (12) with a group of deputies to communicate the decision.

At the meeting at the Planalto Palace, Bolsonaro must communicate that he intends to create a party, the Alliance For Brazil.

Although Lula is still barred from running as a candidate in elections, he is considered by the current president's group to be the primary potential opponent in the 2022 elections if he can reverse his situation in court. When the petista left prison, he directed verbal attacks at Bolsonaro.

The legal team that assists in the creation of the party intends to launch an application to make signature collection more rapid. It needs 500,000, obtained in at least nine states, for the request to be considered by the Superior Electoral Court.
