Brasília

Supreme Court President Dias Toffoli ordered the Central Bank to send him a copy of all financial intelligence reports (RIFs) produced by the former Coaf (Financial Activities Control Board) in the last three years.

He obtained access to confidential data of about 600 thousand people (412.5 thousand physical and 186.2 thousand legal).

The October 25 request is related to a July decision to suspend all investigations in the country that used data from control agencies, such as COAF and IRS, without prior judicial authorization.

Toffoli granted an injunction at the request of Flavio Bolsonaro, the son of President Jair Bolsonaro. The senator was the target of the prosecution in Rio.

The initiative generated apprehension in the government. According to Folha, there are members of the Bolsonaro family mentioned in reports.

The Attorney General's Office studies questioning the determination of the president of the Supreme Court.
