Porto Alegre

The Civil Police arrested another person linked to the death of Beto Freitas, a black man beaten to death at a Carrefour unit in Porto Alegre. The preventive arrest of manager Adriana Alves Dutra took place this Tuesday afternoon (24). She appears in the film wearing a white blouse next to the attackers.

"She had a decisive role because afterwards it was found that she had a leadership position. The law includes as co-author the person who has the power to avoid and did not," said Deputy Vanessa Pitrez, from the Homicide Department.

Adriana introduced herself to the police. According to Pitrez, she could be arrested because she is a voter in a municipality where there will be no elections next Sunday.

This is the third arrest in the case. The two outsourced security guards from Carrefour, owned by Grupo Vector, were arrested in the act after the death. Justice converted their arrest into preventive detention.
