The special sector of the TJ-RJ is composed mostly of judges from the civil area; Similar complaints have been waiting for months until the decision

The court responsible for analyzing the charges against Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (Republicanos-RJ) has taken an average of over nine months to decide whether or not to accept a complaint filed by the Public Ministry against people with special jurisdiction.

Composed of 25 judges, the Special sector of the Rio de Janeiro Court of Justice is mostly composed of magistrates who work in the civil area. The collegiate has had at least three complaints on hold for months awaiting analysis - one of them regarding "rachadinha" ( a corruption scheme involving the senator)

The sector became responsible for the senator's trial after the Rio de Janeiro Court of Justice acknowledged that Flávio was entitled to the special juristiction awarded to state deputies, a position he held at the time of the investigated facts.
