Brasília and Rio de Janeiro

Ex-president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) traveled to Brasília for the first time since he resumed his political rights, and launched an offensive for the 2022 elections by meeting with several allies of President Jair Bolsonaro (no party).

Since Monday (3), the PT has had several conversations in the "bunker" he set up in a hotel in the central region of the federal capital, just three kilometers from the National Congress. He has been speaking to people on the right and left.

This Wednesday (5), he received the ex-congressional leader Rodrigo Maia (DEM-RJ) and the national president of the PSD, Gilberto Kassab. On Thursday (6), he plans to meet with Senate President Rodrigo Pacheco (DEM-MG).

Maia arrived at the hotel just before 9 am and had a two-hour conversation with Lula.
