In a tumultuous testimony marked by cursing, ex-secretary Fabio Wajngarten (Presidential Communication) this Wednesday (12th) dodged questions, became the target of an arrest request and admitted that the letter in which Pfizer offered to negotiate doses of vaccine to Brazil received no action for at least two months in the federal government.
Throughout the hearing, Wajngarten was accused of contradictions and of lying to the CPI, which led the CPI rapporteur, Renan Calheiros (MDB-AL), to ask for the arrest of the former secretary.
Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (Republicanos-RJ) even called Renan a tramp. "Imagine an honest citizen being arrested by a tramp like Renan," said President Jair Bolsonaro's eldest son (no party). The session was suspended shortly afterwards, also as a result of a vote in the Senate plenary.
