Leaders of the national demonstration against Jair Bolsonaro (no party) scheduled for next Saturday (19) are resisting changes to their planned protest as a response to the political demonstration of motorcyclists that the president attended last Saturday (12) in São Paulo.

The protests are driven by social movements, trade unions and political parties, who are calling for impeachment, vaccines against Covid-19 and the maintenance of the R$600 emergency aid of R$ 600 as promised in the speech of May 29, while rejecting comparisons with the Bolsonaro supporters.

The groups mostly linked to the left camp are preparing new marches amid the advance of the pandemic that has already left more than 488,000 dead in the country. At the same time, vaccination proceeds slowly, with less than 15% of the adult population immunized with the second dose.
