This Wednesday (30), opposition and social movements made a super request for impeachment against President Jair Bolsonaro (no party), but without the necessary political support for the process to prosper in Congress. The document gathered about 120 requests in one, pointing out more than 20 types of accusations.
The group is now trying to pressure the president of the House, Arthur Lira (PP-AL), to open the process.
By law, the congressional leader is responsible for, monocratically, deciding whether to proceed with or to archive impeachment requests. He has no deadline for this analysis.
A few hours after the submission of the super order, Lira signaled that, for the time being, he will not proceed with the process and that such an action must be concrete.
