PSDB Suspends Previews after App Problems

The party tried to use the app even after the campaigns of João Doria and Eduardo Leite pointed out its flaws and weaknesses

The PSDB decided this Sunday (21) to suspend the presidential caucuses between governors João Doria (SP) and Eduardo Leite (RS) due to problems in the voting application and stated that the process will only be resumed as soon as possible after adjustments in the program.

The party has not determined when voting will resume—there is an impasse between the contestants over the new date. In a meeting this Sunday night (21), the president of the party, Bruno Araújo, stated that there will be a meeting with the company that developed the application this Monday. From there, it will be possible to verify the technical feasibility of resuming voting through the application as soon as possible.

"Tomorrow, in the beginning of the afternoon, there will be a technical opinion [...] about what the real status is, the application's diagnosis. To understand what is the feasibility time for its resolution. very short term, the idea is for it [the app] to be made available practically immediately," he said. Araújo also said that, if the tool's resolution takes a long period of time, the campaigns will have to talk about how to close the vote.
