On Sunday night (20) Folha reached 3 million followers on Instagram, consolidating itself as one of the main journalistic vehicles in Brazil and in the world on the platform.
On February 24 and 25 of this year, when the war in Ukraine began, Folha gained 25,000 new followers, reinforcing the trend that users seek reliable information when there are relevant events in Brazil and around the world.
In April 2020, the newspaper had reached the mark of 2 million followers, amid the beginning of coverage of the pandemic. In March of that year, Folha gained 137,000 followers, after a wave of interest in journalism due to the coronavirus pandemic.
In July 2021, Folha debuted a new visual identity on Instagram with the aim of adapting to the way communication takes place on the social network and maintaining the visual standard of the newspaper used in other media, such as the website and print.
With over a billion monthly active users, Instagram is one of the most popular social networks right now.
