Former President Lula marries Janja in A Ceremony with Friends and Politicians

PT and sociologist held a party for about 150 guests; outside, there were shouts against PT

Former president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), 76, married sociologist Rosângela da Silva, Janja, 55, on Wednesday night (18) in São Paulo.

​The ceremony took place at an event venue in the south of São Paulo. About 150 people were invited, including family members, politicians and artists.

The event was closed to the press, but outside, you could hear applause and shouts of "Olê, olê, olê, olá, Lula, Lula there." There were also some isolated protests against PT in front of the place.

At the entrance, guests had to leave their cell phones in the cloakroom, according to the PT's press office. Names such as former president Dilma Rousseff (PT), former governor Geraldo Alckmin (PSB) and his wife, Lu Alckmin, former mayor Fernando Haddad and his wife, Ana Estela, attended.
