Bolsonaro Supporters Invade Event with Lula

Bolsonaro supporter shouted at former president and Alckmin; councilor asked for basic income

Bolsonaro supporters protested at an event in which the Lula/Alckmin presidential slate launched its plans. Councilor Eduardo Suplicy (PT) also made a public complaint.

Protester Caique Mafra, pre-candidate for state deputy in São Paulo for the Republicans, entered the event hall, in a hotel in Jardins, during Lula's speech and called the former president corrupt. The PT did not respond.

The Bolsonaro supporter also shouted towards Alckmin a phrase about "returning to the scene of the crime", alluding to a speech by the former governor about the PT when he was still an opponent.

The group of protesters was formed by two other PT detractors.

Suplicy, on the other hand, went to the table where Aloizio Mercadante, coordinator of the government program, was sitting, complaining about the approach to basic citizen income.

He interrupted Mercadante to say that the proposal "was not considered" among the items in the document and that it is always in the party's plans, but it does not get off the ground.
