A Bolsonaro federal criminal police officer invaded a birthday party and shot and killed PT member Marcelo Aloizio de Arruda on Saturday night (9) in Foz do Iguaçu (PR). During the crime, the PT reacted and fired shots at his aggressor, Jorge José da Rocha Guaranho.
The Civil Police of Paraná initially said he had also died, but the information was later corrected. He remains hospitalized. The attack occurred during Marcelo de Arruda's 50th birthday, celebrated with a PT-themed party. Guaranho passed by in his car in front of the place, saying "Aqui é Bolsonaro" and "Lula thief" and cursing. He left after a quick argument and said he would return.
According to witnesses, Arruda, a civil guard, went to his car and took a gun to defend himself. Guaranho actually returned, invaded the ballroom, and shot Arruda. The PT, already wounded on the ground, also shot the Bolsonarista. The case raises concerns about political violence in a pre-election campaign marked by threats and physical attacks. According to the delegate responsible for the case, Iane Cardoso, the hypothesis of political motivation for the crime against PT is being investigated, but it cannot yet be confirmed.
