Protesters call for a coup d'etat.

The PRF (Federal Highway Police) recorded this Monday (31), by the end of the night, 321 points of blockages or agglomerations on roads in 25 states and in the Federal District.

As a precaution, the Military Police of the Federal District blocked part of the Esplanada dos Ministérios, in Brasília. The region comprises the Praça dos Três Poderes, where the National Congress, the Palácio do Planalto, and the Federal Supreme Court (STF) are located. The Federal Highway police, however, did not act on the blockages.

In a video to which Folha had access, Federal Highway Police agents say that the order is just to stay put. "The only thing I have to say right now is that the only order we have is to stay here with you, that's all," said a policeman who was handling a roadblock in Palhoça (SC).

Just before 10 pm, Justice Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), ordered the government to immediately adopt "all necessary and sufficient measures" to clear the roads occupied in protest against the election results. He also ordered the arrest of a PRF director in case of non-compliance. The measure includes the work of men from the National Force and the Military Police, in addition to the PRF (Federal Highway Police). The request was made by the CNT (National Confederation of Transport).
