At least 32 presenters and influencers received fees for media campaigns by the government of Jair Bolsonaro. This information comes from a Special Secretariat for Social Communication report that was sent to the Senate commission investigating the government's management of the pandemic.
The campaigns were carried out on television by small-time presenters or those who work at stations that support the government, such as Record TV and Rede TV!.
They talked about "early treatment" for the Coronavirus, violence against women, and other initiatives.
Presenter Marcelo de Carvalho, one of Rede Network!'s owners, earned at least R$122,000.
As Folha revealed, other broadcasters have also benefited from government campaigns, such as Luciana Gimenez, Sikêra Júnior, and Luís Ernesto Lacombe.
Record TV presenters are also on the list. The presenter Cesar Filho, from the show Hoje em Dia, leads the list.
Then there is the presenter Ana Hickmann, with nine payouts, which add up to R$ 411 thousand. Presenters Ticiane Pinheiro, Luiz Bacci, and Marcos Mion, who currently work at Globo, are on of the list.
