Grupo Itapemirim announced, this Friday night (17), that it has temporarily suspended the operations of its airline, ITA (Itapemirim Transportes Aéreos), for an internal restructuring. In a statement, the company claims that the decision was taken due to the need to make operational adjustments.
The suspension of ITA's activities, according to the company, will not affect the provision of its road transport service and operations at Viação Itapemirim will continue normally.
The group states that it will provide assistance to impacted passengers and advise customers with trips scheduled for the next few days to get in touch via email falecomaita@voeita.com.br. In a statement, the company says that it will dedicate itself to resuming its flights "soon" and that it will provide assistance to passengers pursuant to ANAC's resolution 400, which deals with the rights of air passengers.
