Brazil recorded 1,209 new deaths by Covid-19 and 31,475 new cases this Wednesday (17). The country already has 46,665 deaths from the disease and 960,309 cases.
The data on deaths and cases of Covid-19 is the result of an unprecedented collaboration between Folha, O Estado de S. Paulo, Extra, O Globo, G1, and UOL to gather and report numbers on the new coronavirus, which are collected directly with the Secretariats Health. The balance is closed daily at 8 pm.
São Paulo broke the record for deaths for the second consecutive day, with 389 registered deaths and 1,232 new cases. As a result, the total number of deaths and cases in São Paulo reached 11,521 and 191,517. The state has already started its reopening process, and the agglomerations caused in this context are already a concern for the João Doria government (PSDB).
The second state with the most deaths recorded, as has been constant, was Rio de Janeiro (171 and a total of 8,138), followed by Ceará (90 and a total of 5,282).
The data from this Wednesday (17) Ministry of Health show 1,269 new deaths and 32,188 new cases of Covid-19 confirmed in the last 24 hours. With the update, the total released by the federal government reaches 955,377 cases and 46,510 deaths from the disease.
