After announcing that vaccination against Covid-19 in Brazil could begin in December of this year or in January or March 2021, the Minister of Health, General Eduardo Pazuello, now says that the national immunization plan will likely start in February of next year.

The health ministry delivered the new forecast this Wednesday (16th) at a press conference at the Planalto Palace, in which the new version of the national immunization plan was revealed.

The minister resisted setting a date because he did not want to sell illusions. "There was a lot of illusion when it came to buying respirators, equipment. Some states and municipalities are still struggling to prove their actions today, because sometimes things don't happen. So, from the registered, safe and effective vaccine, guaranteed by Anvisa and received, we start the distribution in the states in five days, and the states start the logistics for the municipalities. This is very fast because this is all ready."
