Brazil Records More than 1,000 Covid-19 Deaths and Almost 69 thousand Cases in 24 hours

Country reaches 207 thousand deaths and 8.3 million infections, shows press consortium

Brazil recorded 1,151 deaths from Covid-19 and 68,656 cases of the disease this Thursday (14). As a result, the country has reached 207,160 deaths and 8,326,115 infections of the novel coronavirus.

The country's data comes from an unprecedented collaboration between Folha, UOL, O Estado de S. Paulo, Extra, O Globo, and G1 to gather and disclose the numbers related to the pandemic of the novel coronavirus. The information is collected directly from the state Health Departments.

According to data collected by 8pm, the average number of deaths in the last seven days is 1,000. The average value represents an increase of 42% compared to the data of 14 days ago.

Almost all regions of the country have an increase in the moving average of deaths in relation to the data of 14 days ago. Only the Midwest (with growth of 12%) is in a stable situation.
