Brazil has administered 1,248,821 doses of the vaccine against Covid-19. The number refers only to the first dose of vaccines against the disease. This Wednesday (27), 404,806 vaccine doses were applied.
As vaccination just started in January, the country has not yet begun to provide the second dose (which needs a time gap in relation to the first).
For now, the vaccines available in Brazil are Coronavac, a Butantan vaccine in partnership with the pharmaceutical company Sinovac, and the vaccine from Fiocruz, developed by the partnership between the University of Oxford and AstraZeneca.
The total number of people who have received the first dose represents 0.78% of the Brazilian population over 18 years of age.
