3 More States Adopt Restrictions against Covid-19

Other capitals also impose measures to try to stop the advance of deaths and hospitalizations

The worsening novel coronavirus pandemic has prompted at least three states to announce new restrictive measures this Monday (1st), ranging from the closing of beaches to the curfew.

They join other states, such as the three in the South and São Paulo, which in recent days have released a series of rules to try to stop the spread of the novel coronavirus and the increase in hospitalizations and deaths caused by Covid-19. Non-emergency surgeries in hospitals have been suspended, and large celebrations have been prohibited. Some states have also suspended the sale of alcoholic beverages.

Pernambuco announced on Monday the prohibition of non-essential activities on weekends, and on working days from 8 pm to 5 am.

In Mato Grosso, the government announced the adoption of a curfew between 9:00 pm and 5:00 am, in which people can not be on the streets outside of those hours. Economic activities are prohibited from 7:00 pm to 5:00 am, Monday through Friday.

In Acre, the government prohibited the operation of commerce, including restaurants, bars, and supermarkets, on weekends and holidays. The establishments will be able to operate only through delivery, without face-to-face service.
