Four States Have ICU Bed Occupancy of 80% or More

Scenario in the states is similar to July 2021

The escalation of new cases of Covid-19 at the beginning of the year increased the pressure on hospitals and caused four states to reach the level of 80% or more in the occupancy of Intensive Care Unit beds.

The scenario is similar to July 2021, when the second wave of Covid-19 began to ebb in the country. Ceará and Goiás are the states with the greatest pressure on the public health system and registered an occupancy of 87% of beds for critically ill patients. Then comes Pernambuco with 86% and Espírito Santo with 80%.
