The Federal prosecution office decided to carry out a coordinated lawsuit to investigate the CBF and the states and municipalities that will host the Copa América in Brazil.

Deputy Attorney Carlos Alberto Vilhena, from the Federal Attorney for Citizens' Rights, ordered the dispatch of official letters to the attorneys of the states of Goiás, Mato Grosso, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and the Federal District "exhorting them" to open investigation procedures.

CBF and the companies involved in the tournament must be investigated for "acts that violate the rights to life and health".
