With the 2022 World Cup already set and ready to go and without a Brazilian driver on the grid, F1 will land in Brazil betting on a sense of nostalgia in order to renew its connection with the public, precisely at the moment when this relationship completes 50 years.

Stage of the São Paulo GP on Sunday (13), the Interlagos Circuit was the scene of the first race of the category in the country, in 1972.

With its old layout, 7,960 meters long, the track hosted a test that was not part of the official calendar.

Emerson took the pole position, but five laps from the end of the race the car's suspension broke and the victory went to the Argentine driver Carlos Reutemann.
