São Paulo Bar Is Elected the 15th Best Bar in the Word

Guilhotina is the first Brazilian bar to make the top 50 best bars in world list

The Guilhotina bar landed 15th place on the World's 50 Best Bars list, which was released on Thursday (3), in an awards ceremony held in London.

This is the highest-ranking ever achieved by a Brazilian establishment. Last year, the establishment, run by bartender Márcio Silva, took 71st place.

In Latin America, only three bars placed ahead of Guillotine: Carnival (13th) in Peru; Limantour Licorería (10th), in Mexico; and Florería Atlántico (3rd), in Argentina. Dante of New York took the top spot.

Positions between 51 and 100 were announced on the 19th, with two more Brazilian bars on the list. Of them, the SubAstor jumped from 2018: it was 51st - 31 positions higher than its 2018 position when it was 82nd. Frank bar, on the other hand, fell from 86th to 96th. The three addresses are in São Paulo.
