President Jair Bolsonaro acknowledged, during an interview with a TV show on Tuesday (15), the election of Joe Biden, the democratic candidate, as the President-elect of the United States. This comes 38 days after Biden was projected as the winner.

In an interview with Brasil Urgente, from Band, Bolsonaro said that he expected the Electoral College delegates to confirm the result of the November 3 election, which happened on Monday (14).

"A few minutes before I went on air, I had already given our minister Ernesto Araújo [Foreign Affairs] permission to make the acknowledgment on the official government networks and then, on my private networks," said Bolsonaro in the interview.

"For my part, and for his part, the American is pragmatic, so we are going to do more work together," said the president, one of the last leaders to recognize the result.
