Ex-president Dilma Rousseff's (PT) defense team filed suit with the STF (Federal Supreme Court) on Thursday (the 1st) requesting the annulment of the Senate session that voted in favor of her impeachment and for the holding of another trial.
Rousseff's lawyers requested an injunction, under the rapporteurship of Minister Teori Zavascki, demanding the granting of an injunction (provisional).
The defense wants the Supreme Court to nullify articles of the law that was used as the base in the accusation that she committed high crimes and misdemeanors, of which she was found guilty and definitively removed from office.
The Minister has no deadline for deciding whether to accept or deny Rousseff's claims.
