The head of the Federal Police's forensic specialists working in the Car Wash Operaton (Lava Jato) in Curitiba (Paraná), Fábio Salvador, stated that the hiring of a private expert by the defense team of President Michel Temer in the case of the recordings made by Joesley Batista, one of the owners of JBS, is a "humiliation".

Antônio Claudio Mariz de Oliveira, the lawyer called in by the president to tackle the accusations, hired expert Ricardo Molina to inspect the audio, once the government suspected that there were cuts and editions in the material delivered to the Public Prosecutor's Office.

In an interview to the press on Monday (22), Molina said the material cannot be used as evidence and pointed to "obscurities". Salvador criticized the presentation of a report in such a short time, about 24 hours, and without the analysis of the device used to record the audio.

To the Federal Supreme Court (STF), the police said the conclusion of the investigation will take 30 days. The recording of Temer by Joesley Batista was made in March and used in the negotiation of a plea-deal bargain, ratified ten days ago.

The Federal Prosecutor's Office concludes from the dialogue that Temer gave consent to the payment of bribes to former speaker of the Lower House Eduardo Cunha and his operator Lúcio Funaro to "control them." Temer denies. The disclosure of the content of the accusation caused the government's greatest political crisis.
