During a private presentation to investors in New York, far-right congressman Jair Bolsonaro (PSC-RJ) stated he is not the most qualified candidate to become the new Brazilian president, but said he is not involved in any corruption scandals.

Folha had full access to two private presentations given by the Presidential pre-candidate, at the Brazilian-American Chamber of Commerce and the Council of the Americas. The congressman, currently tied for second in the 2018 presidential dispute, according to Datafolha, apologized for his aggressive posture.

Bolsonaro also defended a new Constituent Assembly and a labor legislation overhaul. "We have a problem with the Brazilian Consolidated Labor Laws, they are restrained by the Constitution," he said, and defended the adoption of the American model, which does not provide for rights such as vacation and maternity leave.

At the end of the afternoon, on Thursday (12th), the presidential pre-candidate went to a local TV Studio at Times Square, where he defended the U.S. withdrawal from Unesco, and congratulated president Donald Trump for the decision. He had already stated, in Boston, that "Trump is an example" to him and also defended the right to carry guns in Brazil.

To complete his U.S. visit, Bolsonaro will also go to Washington for a presentation, and then return to New York for another possible debate.
