Accessibility Is Also at the Core of Folha's Visual Reform

Ever since the domain was first created, Folha's latest website, which was launched on Thursday (the 1st) was developed with the intent of being the most accessible one yet.

The IT team took a course on how to develop a project that is more user-friendly for the blind as well as people with other visual impairments, who may or may not require special software.

Black and white contrast configurations, for example, were tested in order to optimize site navigation.

In the main menu on the left is the dark and light configuration, which can be used to alter the colors of both the background and the page's fonts.

The photographs now have textual descriptions so that those with visual impairments can understand their content. The "Listen to text" feature has also been adjusted for use on mobile phones.
