FROM RIO
The humorous side of the Carnival revellers tuned on Petrobras scandal will be seen on the streets, starting this week, as many will wear masks of President of the state-run oil company Graça Foster.
The mask is one of the most requested and will be produced by Condal, the largest Carnival mask factory in Rio, after receiving at least 300 orders from Saaara stores, a popular shop in downtown Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte.
Masks of former Petrobras Director Nestor Cerveró, investigated in the Car Wash probe, had also been ordered, but Olga Valles, President of Condal, said that its production was eventually cancelled as the plastic artist did not have enough time to work.
"We have many orders before that and we cannot produce Cerveró's masks in time for Carnival, but we can still get more orders for Foster's because the mould is ready."
The list of politicians who had masks ordered includes former President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, current President Dilma Rousseff and former Minister José Dirceu.
