The President of The Senate Rejected Bolsonaro's Impeachment Request against Supreme Court Justice
In another defeat in the clash with the Supreme Court, the president tried to prohibit an inquiry without the approval of the Public Ministry
The president of the Senate, Rodrigo Pacheco (DEM-MG), rejected President Jair Bolsonaro's impeachment request against Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes this Wednesday (25).

In addition to this, the president suffered another defeat in his confrontation with the Supreme Court. Justice Edson Fachin ordered the dismissal of a lawsuit in which Bolsonaro asked the court to annul the article of the regiment that authorized the opening of an inquiry without the approval of the Public Ministry.
In regards to the request for impeachment of Moraes, Pacheco said that he based his decision on an opinion issued by the attorney general of the Senate, which concluded that there was no just cause for the Justice's removal.
