Bolsonaro Government Decides to Suspend Covaxin Contract
Measure takes place amid suspicion of irregularities in the agreement
Brasília
The Ministry of Health decided to suspend the contract with Precise Medicines to obtain 20 million doses of the Indian vaccine Covaxin.
The decision comes at a time when signs of irregularities in the contract have been the target of Covid pandemic hearings in the Senate.
According to members of the ministry, the current decision calls for a suspension until there is a new opinion on the case. The folder, however, is already evaluating the possibility of canceling the contract.
