FROM SÃO PAULO
Due to a translation error, an article on Friday (12) about the criticism made by the National Truth Commission (CNV) on the silence of the Armed Forces about the Brazilian dictatorship referred incorrectly to a demand that the coordinator of the CNV, Pedro Dallari, made to the military.
The commission did not ask the Armed Forces to take a position in relation to pedophilia cases in the Catholic Church, but in relation to crimes perpetrated during the dictatorship.
The National Truth Commission took Pope Francis as an example, because he recognized that there were cases of pedophilia in the Catholic Church.
