Securities broker Lúcio Funaro told the Federal Police that President Michel Temer participated in the operation that generated payments of "commissions" of R$ 20 million (US$ 7.1 million).

The money, according to Funaro, was paid by two companies that had obtained financing at the bank Caixa Economica and would have been destined mainly for the "campaign for the Presidency of the Republic in 2014" and for the campaign of the former federal congressman Gabriel Chalita to the São Paulo City Hall in 2012.

According to the broker, Temer made an "orientation /request" in the transaction.

The companies benefited would have been BR Vias, of the Constantino family, and LLX (current Plumo Logística), which has Eike Batista as a partner.

Funaro's statements were included in the records of Operation Patmos, which investigates Temer.

Funaro, who is in jail and negotiating a plea bargain, said he paid "commission" to the minister of the General Secretariat of the Presidency, Moreira Franco, and former minister Geddel Vieira Lima.

The money was allegedly related to the release of resources from the FI-FGTS (Investment Fund of the Guarantee Fund for Length of Service) in 2009, to the company Cibe. At that time, Moreira Franco occupied the vice-presidency of government funds and Lotteries of Caixa, manager of the investment fund.

Temer did not comment the case. Moreira Franco and Geddel denied the allegations.
