President Jair Bolsonaro (no party) stated this Thursday (7) that Brazil will face "supply problems" next year. According to the agent, the possibility of a shortage of products in 2022 is related to the energy crisis in China.
"I'm going to warn you a year before, fertilizers: due to the energy crisis, China is starting to produce less fertilizer. It has already increased in price, it will increase more and there will be a shortage. Every five dishes of food in the world, one leaves Brazil. We are going to have supply problems next year," declared Bolsonaro, during a ceremony at the Planalto Palace. Also according to Bolsonaro, given the scenario, the SAE (Secretariat of Strategic Affairs) is concluding the elaboration of an emergency plan for fertilizers.
