President-elect Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) recalled his diplomation ceremony in 2002 on the eve of the new ceremony, which takes place this Monday.
"I was very emotional at my first diplomation as president in 2002", he posted on social networks, along with the video in which he appears crying at the time. "Tomorrow we will experience this emotion together one more time."
The ceremony, which takes place this Monday, reinforces the electoral victory amid anti-democratic acts by supporters of President Jair Bolsonaro (PL), defeated in the re-election attempt.
Lula claims that he will finish defining the composition of the top tier of his government in the days following the diplomation. The first five names, including Fernando Haddad to head the Ministry of Finance, were announced on Friday (9).
