On the night of the crime, military police officers were patrolling the region when they were called to check a complaint about a gunshot victim in the Jardim Oratório neighborhood.

When they arrived at the address, according to the PMs' report to the Civil Police, they found Gonzalez lying in the living room of his house, lifeless and with a gunshot wound to the chest.

While waiting for the rescuers, the police were informed by the victim's companion that Gonzalez had discussed with the landlord of the property, who lives on the upper floor, a debt of R$ 100, related to rent.

Five minutes after the disagreement, according to what Gonzalez's wife told the police, the tenant returned to the couple's apartment, fired "a firearm," with a revolver and fled.

According to the police, the suspect of committing the crime owed R$300 to the victim's relatives.
