Police are investigating the theft of at least four cars on the street in a fake Homem de Melo parking lot, in Perdizes, in the west side of São Paulo.

The crime took place on Tuesday night. All the victims parked there to go to a show by the American Maroon 5, at Allianz Parque, 1 km away.

About 45,000 people attended the show, according to organizers.

According to delegate Reinado Vicente Castello, from the 23rd Police District, the case of vehicle theft in a fake parking lot near the Palmeiras stadium is unprecedented. "It's not uncommon to steal for this, but never for the creation of a false structure."

The victims declared in a police report that they were approached by a man who offered parking spaces.

They will pay, in advance, from R$50 to R$100 to leave their cars there. And when they returned the vehicles nor anyone else were there.
